DECISION PROCESS
Early prototype v0.2
5–10 minute exercise

Turn an unresolved decision into a clear choice and next step.

Bring one real decision you're facing. This process helps you clarify what matters, compare realistic options, make a choice, and define what happens next. It does not validate your choice or give you an AI recommendation.

At the end, you'll leave with a Decision Brief:
  • what you chose,
  • why you chose it,
  • what you expect to happen, and
  • the next concrete action.

Optional: After creating your Decision Brief, you can generate a prompt to stress-test your reasoning with an AI assistant of your choice.

Before you begin

Choose something important enough that you genuinely need to decide what to do.

Your decision answers stay in this browser. They are not sent to us. If you use the optional AI prompt, you choose whether and where to share it. If you add a Google Calendar reminder later, the review event details are sent to Google.

At the end you can optionally send feedback about the experience. Your decision content is not included. If you use the optional AI challenge prompt, the feedback can include whether you copied it—not the prompt itself.

1 · The decision

What are you trying to decide?

State one decision that needs a choice—not a broad problem you want to explore.

My decision is...

Please enter the decision you are facing.

How clear does this decision feel right now?

Please select your current clarity.
2 · What matters

What matters in this decision?

What outcome matters most?

Please describe the outcome that matters most.

What can't you ignore?

Think about time, money, people, commitments, capabilities, risk, customers, or other real boundaries.

Please capture the constraints that matter. If there truly are none, write “None”.
3 · Your options

What could you realistically do?

List at least two real options.

Please enter at least two options.

Which option currently seems strongest?

This is provisional. You can still change your mind before you commit.

Please select the option that currently seems strongest.
4 · Your reasoning

Why does this option seem strongest—and what gives you pause?

Why does this choice currently seem strongest—and what gives you pause?

Please capture both why this option seems strongest and any important doubt or uncertainty.

If you choose this option, what do you expect to happen?

Please describe what you expect to happen.

When would you expect to know whether this happened?

We’ll use this as the suggested date to revisit the decision and compare your expectation with reality.

Please choose when you expect the result to become observable.
5 · Commit

Commit to your choice.

If this is still your choice, make it explicit and define the next concrete action.

Is this still the decision you want to make?

Please explicitly commit to the choice before creating your Decision Brief.

What is the next concrete action?

Please define a concrete next action.

Who owns it? Optional

By when?

Please set a date for the next action.
Your result

Your Decision Brief

This is not a recommendation from the system. It is a concise record of the choice you made and the reasoning you want to be able to revisit later.

Optional: challenge your reasoning with an AI of your choice

This prompt asks the AI to stress-test your reasoning rather than validate your choice or make the decision for you.

Privacy: this prompt contains the information in your Decision Brief. Review it before pasting it into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or another external AI service. The prototype itself does not send the prompt anywhere.

Prototype feedback

Tell us about the experience.

Only the feedback below is shared if you submit it. Your decision and Decision Brief are not included. We also include whether you copied the optional AI challenge prompt, but never its content.
